An Adventure which involves railroad tracks, Charles Martin and my new friend Vanessa
Today, my friend Vanessa and I set off on an adventure. I've so missed having a photographer friend in town, but now, I have one again! I'm excited about the possibilities, especially since this literary photo contest just came up last week. One of my favorite Christian writers, Charles Martin, who wrote When Crickets Cry which made me cry (a difficult feat) is having a photo contest. He asks for entries on his Facebook page, photos of people reading one of his books. The person with the most likes wins 3 autographed books.
Sounds like a deal to me.
So I called up Vanessa and she was game to drive today, into the middle of nowhere and stand in the dirty snow, risking our lives near train tracks for effect, since the cover of the book showed train tracks. In short, it was a blast. Vanessa and I got to know each other better, we survived, and now we have some amazing pictures to show for it.
